About me
Why I’m a Wedding Pianist
Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I began studying music at the age of eight, learning a range of instruments including violin, cornet, harp and flute. Each one taught me something different about sound, expression and ensemble playing — but from the very beginning, the piano captured my heart. It has always been the instrument I return to, the one that feels most like home.
The piano’s versatility is what makes it so special to me. It can be gentle and intimate, or full and celebratory; it can support a quiet, emotional moment or lift a room with warmth and joy. That flexibility is exactly why it works so beautifully for weddings, and why I chose to specialise as a wedding pianist.
I have been playing at weddings for over 11 years, and in that time I’ve had the privilege of being part of hundreds of ceremonies, drinks receptions and special moments. No two weddings are ever the same, and I genuinely love that. Every couple has their own story, their own taste in music, and their own vision for the day. My role is to listen carefully and translate that into music that feels personal, meaningful and effortless.
Experience has taught me that wedding music is about much more than simply playing the right notes. It’s about timing, atmosphere and sensitivity. It’s knowing when to lead and when to blend into the background. It’s understanding how music can calm nerves before a ceremony, heighten emotion during key moments, and create a relaxed, elegant ambience for guests as they arrive or celebrate.
Because of my classical training and multi-instrumental background, I bring a strong musical foundation to everything I play, whether that’s classical repertoire, modern love songs, film music or bespoke arrangements. At the same time, I approach every wedding with flexibility and professionalism, adapting to venues, schedules and last-minute changes with ease.
Being a wedding pianist isn’t just something I do — it’s something I care deeply about. I feel incredibly fortunate to play a small but meaningful role in such important days, and I never take that responsibility lightly. If you’re looking for music that’s heartfelt, polished and thoughtfully tailored to your wedding, I would be honoured to be part of your celebration.
